Overview

StyleSnap is a Chrome extension that lets you inspect CSS properties of webpage elements. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data StyleSnap accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

StyleSnap does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or webpage content. The extension operates entirely on your local machine.

What the Extension Accesses

• Active Tab: StyleSnap reads CSS properties of elements on the current tab when activated. This data is displayed locally and never leaves your browser.
• Clipboard: When you click to copy, CSS properties are written to your clipboard. No data is sent externally.
• Local Storage: Your settings (toggle preferences, export format) are saved using Chrome's sync storage so they persist across devices. No personal information is stored.

Pro Subscription

If you purchase a Pro license, payment is processed by Gumroad. StyleSnap does not handle or store your payment information. Your license key is stored locally in Chrome's sync storage to verify your Pro status. No personal data is sent to our servers.

Third-Party Services

• Gumroad: Handles payment processing and license key generation for Pro licenses. The extension verifies license keys via Gumroad's public API. See Gumroad's Privacy Policy.

Analytics & Tracking

StyleSnap does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry. We do not track your browsing activity or extension usage.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab: Access the current tab to inspect element styles when you activate the inspector.
• clipboardWrite: Copy CSS properties to your clipboard.
• storage: Save your preferences locally.
• scripting: Inject the inspector UI into the current page.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the extension evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
