§ 01
Acceptance of these Terms
CreatorCut is a video-recording app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. By downloading, installing,
or using the app you agree to these Terms and to the
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you
are using CreatorCut on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to
accept these Terms on its behalf. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your
jurisdiction (or have a parent or guardian's consent) to use CreatorCut.
§ 02
The license we grant you
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to
download and use CreatorCut on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted
by the App Store Terms of Service. This is a license, not a sale — we retain all rights,
title, and interest in the app itself. You agree not to:
- copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where that restriction is
prohibited by law;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the app;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices; or
- use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
§ 03
Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal
CreatorCut is free to download and use with a generous free tier. CreatorCut
Pro unlocks unlimited recording length, up to 4K capture (where the camera
supports it), the full teleprompter, and watermark control. Pro is offered through Apple's
In-App Purchase as:
- CreatorCut Pro Monthly — US $4.99 per month (auto-renewable).
- CreatorCut Pro Yearly — US $29.99 per year (auto-renewable).
- CreatorCut Pro Lifetime — US $79.99 one-time purchase (see §5).
Prices are in U.S. dollars and may vary by region; the exact price and currency are shown
in the App Store before you confirm. For the auto-renewable subscriptions:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off
at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current
period, at the then-current price for the plan.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your device's
App Store account settings after purchase. Apple also lets you manage
subscriptions from Settings → CreatorCut → Subscription inside the app.
Monthly and Yearly are part of a single subscription group, so you can switch between them
without paying twice for overlapping time. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro
access until the end of the period you already paid for.
§ 04
Free trial
The Monthly and Yearly plans each include a 7-day free trial for eligible
new subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial
automatically converts to a paid subscription and your Apple Account is charged the plan
price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription to
the same group. Eligibility for trials is determined by Apple.
§ 05
Lifetime purchase
CreatorCut Pro Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase — not a subscription.
It does not renew and is not billed again. It unlocks the same Pro features for as long as
the app remains available and functional on supported operating systems. It is Family
Shareable through Apple's Family Sharing, subject to Apple's rules. "Lifetime" refers to the
lifetime of the product, not a guarantee of perpetual updates or compatibility with future
hardware or OS versions.
§ 06
Restore purchases & refunds
If you reinstall the app or set up a new device, use Restore Purchases —
available on the paywall and in Settings → Subscription — to re-activate Pro at no
charge. All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple, not by us. Refund requests
are handled by Apple under its standard policy; we cannot issue refunds directly. To request
a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
§ 07
Your content stays yours
CreatorCut records and renders video and audio on your device. You own everything
you record. We claim no rights to your recordings, scripts, or any other content
you create with the app. We have no servers and never receive, store, or transmit your
content — see the Privacy Policy for the full picture. You are
solely responsible for what you record and for having the rights and consents needed to
record and share it, including the consent of anyone who appears or is heard in your videos
where the law requires it.
§ 08
Acceptable use
You agree to use CreatorCut only for lawful purposes. You must not use the app to create or
distribute content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's intellectual property or
privacy rights, or that records people without a consent you are legally required to obtain.
You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your recordings, including
recording-consent, publicity, and copyright laws in your location.
§ 09
Disclaimer of warranties
CreatorCut is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any
kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant
that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will capture or render every take
without fault. You use the app at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your own
backups of important recordings.
§ 10
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maker of CreatorCut will not be liable for any
indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data,
recordings, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total
liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app
and its In-App Purchases in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not
allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
§ 11
App Store & Apple terms
CreatorCut is licensed, not sold, to you, and your use is also governed by Apple's
Media Services Terms
(including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement). Where these Terms
conflict with Apple's, Apple's apply to the extent of the conflict. You acknowledge and agree
that:
- These Terms are between you and the developer of CreatorCut only, not with Apple. The
developer — not Apple — is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple
will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has
no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to
the app, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo
or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government list
of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce
them against you.
§ 12
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this URL
with its effective date. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate,
called out in the app's release notes. Continuing to use CreatorCut after an update means you
accept the revised Terms.
§ 13
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules,
except where local consumer-protection law gives you rights that cannot be waived. Nothing in
these Terms limits any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer.
